No resident of Hunyani should be left behind. Our Social Welfare programme provides targeted support to the most vulnerable members of our community.
Elderly Support
Monthly food hampers, blanket distribution, and home visits for elderly residents living alone or with limited family support. Partnership with Dept of Social Welfare.
Orphan & Vulnerable Children
School fee support, uniforms, nutrition, and psychosocial support for OVC across all wards. Currently supporting 380 OVC.
Disability Inclusion
Assistive devices (wheelchairs, crutches, hearing aids), adapted skills training, and advocacy for accessible public infrastructure.
Emergency Food Assistance
Relief for households facing acute food insecurity. Applications reviewed within 5 working days.
Healthcare Assistance
Medical bill support for indigent residents. Referral letters, PSMAS card applications, and coordination with public health facilities.
Education Bursaries
Annual bursaries for deserving students from disadvantaged backgrounds — covering fees, uniforms, and stationery at O & A-Level.
How to Apply for Welfare Support
Applications processed through the Hunyani Constituency Office. Our social welfare officer is available Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Assessment conducted within 5 working days by our social worker
Approved applications receive support within 10 working days
