Access to clean, reliable water is a fundamental right. Through borehole drilling, pipe rehabilitation, and water storage programmes, we ensure water access for all Hunyani residents.
Our Water Programme
The Hunyani Water Security Initiative addresses chronic shortages, working with ZINWA, Harare City Council, and development partners to deliver sustainable water solutions.
Borehole Drilling
14 boreholes drilled across all wards. Each serves ~400 families during municipal outages.
Pipe Rehabilitation
8km of ageing supply pipes replaced, reducing water loss from burst mains.
Community Water Tanks
50,000L storage tanks at 8 strategic community points across all wards.
Sanitation Upgrades
Public ablution blocks at markets, bus terminuses, and schools across the constituency.
Water Quality Monitoring
Regular testing of all boreholes with Ministry of Health. Results published quarterly.
Rainwater Harvesting
Pilot systems at 3 community centres and 5 schools. Constituency-wide rollout planned 2026.
